Baristas are responsible for preparing a range of coffee and non-coffee beverages according to established recipes. This includes grinding and brewing coffee, steaming milk, and creating latte art.

Job Description

• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.
• Greet and interact with customers, take orders, answer questions about coffee and menu items, and ensure that customers have a pleasant experience in the café.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the drink menu.
• Maintain quality and consistency of the coffee.
• Monitor the brewing process, adjust grind size and extraction time as needed, and ensure that the coffee meets the café's standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the coffee equipment.
• Handle cashiering, process payments, issue receipts.

Requirements

• Has an in-depth knowledge of different coffee beans, origins, roasting techniques, and flavor profiles. (familiar with Australian Coffee is an added advantage)
• Able to multi-task; taking orders, preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Must be able to commit shift hours
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience
• Proficient in latte art
