Job Description
The Assistant Store Manager / Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations supporting construction and engineering projects. This role requires strong hands-on operational capability, inventory control experience, and the ability to lead warehouse staff effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, issuing, and dispatch of materials
Manage inventory control, stock accuracy, and conduct regular stock takes
Handle construction machinery, tools, and engineering materials
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams
Ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of machinery and materials
Maintain warehouse safety standards, housekeeping, and SOP compliance
Supervise and allocate tasks to store and warehouse staff
Manage documentation, inventory records, and system updates
Identify operational gaps, discrepancies, and drive process improvements
Support audits and internal controls where required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
Relevant experience in warehouse, store, or logistics operations
Prior exposure to engineering, construction, or industrial materials environments is strongly preferred
Experience handling construction machinery or tools is an advantage
Able to manage manpower and day-to-day warehouse operations independently
Familiar with inventory management systems and basic Excel reporting
Hands-on, responsible, and operationally strong
Comfortable working in the Tuas area
Able to communicate effectively in English for work coordination
Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred for daily operational communication
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Sunday: Rest day
Salary & Benefits
Assistant Store Manager:
SGD 3,000 – 4,000 basic (commensurate with experience)
Store Manager:
SGD 3,800 – 4,500 basic
Benefits include:
