Art and ArtScience Instructor

As an Art and ArtScience Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning in babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your expertise in art and science will inspire children to explore the connections between these two fields and nurture their curiosity. Here are the key responsibilities associated with the role:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging art and art science lessons that encourage children's creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
• Introduce children to various art techniques, materials, and styles, fostering their self-expression and artistic development.
• Explore the intersection of art and science, incorporating scientific principles, experiments, and concepts into art activities.
• Teach children about the natural world, encouraging them to observe, document, and create art inspired by nature.
• Facilitate hands-on art and science experiments, encouraging children to make observations, predictions, and draw conclusions.
• Encourage children to explore different art mediums, such as paints, clay, recycled materials, and natural resources, in their artwork.
• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes collaboration, experimentation, and problem-solving.
• Adapt teaching techniques to cater to the developmental needs and abilities of each age group, ensuring an age-appropriate curriculum.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art and art science lessons into the preschool curriculum, promoting interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing children's progress, achievements, and areas for further development in art and art science education.
• Maintain a safe and organized art studio, ensuring all art supplies and materials are well-stocked and properly maintained.

Job Requirements

To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Artistic Proficiency: Possess strong artistic skills and a deep understanding of various art techniques, materials, and styles suitable for young children.
• Knowledge of Art Science: Familiarity with the connection between art and science and the ability to incorporate scientific concepts into art lessons.
• Experience with Young Children: Previous experience teaching art and art science to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, preferably in an educational or early childhood setting.
• Passion for Art and Science: Display a genuine passion for art and science education, fostering children's creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication skills to engage with young children, parents, and colleagues in a positive and supportive manner.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Exhibit adaptability and flexibility in lesson planning, accommodating the individual needs and interests of each child.
• Patience and Empathy: Possess patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children's artistic and scientific development, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff members to promote interdisciplinary learning experiences and a cohesive preschool community.

Working Hours

• The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and/or Weekends 9:00am to 6:00pm ( optional )
