Job Description
Following the recent merger of FGE and NexantECA, two global leaders in energy market intelligence, insight, and consulting, we are expanding our Singapore operations. The position offers an opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual seeking career growth opportunities within the oil and gas analytical space with international market exposure.
The NGLs team covers a suite of light-ends products including ethane, LPG (propane and butane), naphtha and condensate. The team’s coverage extends to the olefins and aromatics markets from a feedstock perspective. Analysing NGLs as part of the global team, the successful candidate will enhance their already strong numeric and analytical skills and eventually becoming a regional or subject expert. The candidate will also have exposure to the complete oil cycle giving the successful driven and motivated candidate an accelerated learning curve and unparalleled exposure to the industry.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business administration or similar discipline.
At least 1+ years’ experience of the oil industry/analysis experience. Fresh graduates with oil industry /commodities internship experience are welcomed.
Ability to undertake independent research and work with a project team.
Strong analytical skills, ability to obtain pertinent information and develop effective models.
Ability to do independent research and work with a project team.
Excellent numeracy/written skills and comfortable working with large data sets from disparate and often unstructured sources. Strong Microsoft Excel skill is a must.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluency in English is essential for this role. Knowledge of other Asian languages is a plus.
Able to legally work in Singapore.
Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment and deliver work in a timely manner.
Able to travel.
Ability to work effectively with regional offices to promote products globally.
Able to support business development activities.
Display a deep-seated curiosity for learning
Collecting data and information with regards to market fundamentals (supply, demand, trade) and pricing for NGLs.
Analysing and modelling of market fundamentals of NGLs. Build forecasts, databases, and evaluations for FGE’s short-term and long-term NGLs services.
Writing analytical reports (retainer and ad-hoc reports) will be a key part of job scope.
Analysing macro and micro economic data pertaining to oil, NGLs and gas/LNG.
Providing research support to consultants and senior analysts.
Preparing both internal and external client presentation material and answering client queries.
Communicate insights through published notes, presentations, calls, emails and meetings with clients and prospects.
Contribute to and/or lead bespoke projects for clients.
