Job Description

About the Job

  • Assist in month-end closing activities including preparation of journal entries, accruals and prepayments under supervision

  • Prepare supporting schedules and perform basic balance sheet reconciliations

  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for accounting records

  • Monitor accounts receivable ageing and follow up on outstanding balances

  • Liaise with operations and external parties on billing, invoicing and collection matters

  • Support preparation of audit schedules and assist in statutory audit and GST/tax submissions

  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Provide basic financial data and analysis as requested by management

  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and highlight discrepancies where noted

  • Support finance system updates, data clean-up and process improvements

  • Assist in new business setup activities such as vendor/customer creation and chart of accounts maintenance

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Manager as required


Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to full set of accounts and month-end closing

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)

  • Experience with accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience will be an advantage Hands-on experience in accounts receivable management and credit control is preferred

  • Ability to perform financial analysis, identify issues, and provide meaningful insights to support management decisions

  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties

  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
