They are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Golf Operations Manager to oversee daily golf course operations, ensuring seamless execution, operational excellence, and outstanding service standards.

🌟 What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee day-to-day golf operations, including management of the golf operations system, buggy fleet control, procurement matters, and tender exercises as assigned.
• Address and resolve members’ feedback and complaints relating to golf operations through various communication channels (email, phone, WhatsApp, etc.). Investigate incidents such as dangerous play, mediate where necessary, and prepare reports for escalation when required.
• Review and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regularly to improve operational efficiency and elevate the overall golfing experience for members. Implement revised procedures effectively across the team.
• Collaborate closely with the Golf Department and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of major club events, including charity tournaments, open championships, junior invitationals, inter-port matches, inter-club league games, and corporate or private tournaments.
• Support the preparation, monitoring, and forecasting of the annual golf operations budget, ensuring cost control and prudent resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the golf operations team (including Starters and Marshals) through regular meetings, structured training programmes, and performance alignment initiatives.
• Communicate updated club rules, by-laws, policies, and operational measures to ensure staff are well-informed and able to perform their duties effectively.
• Set clear performance expectations aligned with the Club’s strategic objectives and conduct periodic staff appraisals and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records of annual golf activities, including incidents of slow play, rule breaches, and dangerous play.
• Coordinate and oversee the proper conduct of Golf Ability Tests and Golf Course Capability Tests in accordance with established standards.
• Ensure strong familiarity with and adherence to the Club’s Rules and Bye-Laws.
• Attend and contribute to Greens Committee, Handicap Committee, Junior Golf Committee, and other relevant Club meetings as directed by Management.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management to support the smooth functioning of golf operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Golf, Sports, Business, or Turf Management, with several years of experience in golf club or course operations, including supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of golf operations and club rules.
• Proven experience in managing teams and delivering service excellence.
• Confident communicator with strong member engagement skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Budget-conscious with good operational planning skills.
