Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the EHS management system to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards
• Conduct daily Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) inspections of machinery, equipment, plant, and installations to identify hazards and enforce safety controls
• Act as the Site EHS Assessor to verify hazardous works and ensure safe execution
• Deliver EHS induction courses to new employees and contractors to promote safety awareness and compliance
• Communicate Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures effectively to workers and subcontractors to ensure understanding and adherence
• Identify WSH hazards on site and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks
• Prepare and submit monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Permit to Work documentation in accordance with Main Contractor requirements
• Monitor and maintain accurate EHS records and checklists to support compliance and audit readiness
• Participate in and facilitate Internal and External EHS audits to ensure continuous improvement
• Investigate and report all WSH incidents and near misses promptly to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
• Conduct WSH and related training sessions to enhance workforce safety competence
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Management to perform additional duties as assigned

Required competencies and certifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH with Refresher Course
• Work at Height (WAH) Assessor Certificate
• Risk Management Course certificate

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry safety management
• Demonstrated responsibility, positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
