About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee and manage all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) functions for our electrical and power infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, client specifications, and company procedures while supporting safe and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement workplace safety, health, and environmental measures at the project site
- Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, environmental requirements, client standards, and company policies
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental non-compliance issues
- Recommend, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare, maintain, and submit safety and environmental reports, records, and documentation
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and relevant training for site personnel
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental complaints, and prepare the necessary reports
- Liaise with the client, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on WSH and environmental matters
- Monitor subcontractors’ compliance with project safety and environmental requirements
- Support the project team in maintaining a strong safety culture and proper environmental controls on site
Requirements
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in Singapore
- Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO) in Singapore
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, electrical, power, rail, or large-scale engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of local WSH regulations, environmental requirements, and site practices in Singapore
- Proven experience in managing SHE functions for complex project environments
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in preparing reports, records, compliance documents, and SHE submissions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in LTA or other public sector infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with electrical and power infrastructure project requirements
- Additional relevant SHE certifications will be an advantage
