   • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

   • Follow exact dimensions, materials, and welding methods indicated in the design.

3. Preparation and Setup

   • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, grinding, or shaping.

   • Set up welding equipment correctly (e.g., machines, torches, electrodes).

   • Select appropriate welding consumables (rods, wire, shielding gas).

4. Inspection and Quality Control

   • Inspect welds for defects like cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion.

   • Use testing methods like:

     • Visual inspection

     • Non-destructive testing (NDT)

     • Destructive testing (when required)

   • Maintain high-quality standards and comply with safety and industry codes.

5. Maintenance of Equipment

   • Regularly check and maintain welding machines, torches, protective gear, and safety equipment.

   • Ensure welding equipment is functional, calibrated, and safe to use.

6. Safety Compliance

   • Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries:

  • Pipe Welder: Works on pipelines, often requires certification for high-pressure systems.
