Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation:Removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive; cleaning, filling cracks, leveling surfaces with plaster, sand, or cement.
• Material Calculation:Inspecting job sites, reading plans, and calculating the quantities of tiles, adhesive, and other materials needed.
• Layout & Measurement:Measuring and marking surfaces, ensuring correct spacing and alignment of tiles, and working from blueprints to establish the best layout for patterns.
• Tile Installation:Spreading adhesive, pressing tiles into position, and cutting and shaping tiles to fit edges, corners, and around fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Grouting & Finishing:Applying grout between tiles, cleaning off excess grout with a damp sponge, and performing any necessary finishing work.
• Waterproofing:Applying waterproofing systems to surfaces like floors and walls to prevent moisture damage.
• Project Management:Estimating costs, ordering materials, and potentially consulting with clients and other tradespeople.
