Job Summary

As a Vocal Teacher (Part-Time) at Midiworld, you will deliver personalized vocal instruction to students of diverse ages and skill levels, fostering musical proficiency and passion. You will prepare students for performances and examinations while collaborating with parents and colleagues to support student growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver vocal lessons to individual students and groups in both physical and online settings, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning needs
• Teach vocal techniques and music theory from beginner to Grade 8 or higher, ensuring skill progression and musical confidence
• Engage students aged 4 years and above, cultivating their interest in music and appreciation for various genres
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, competitions, and examinations aligned with recognized boards such as Trinity, ABRSM, and Rock
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, customizing lesson plans to address individual strengths and areas for improvement
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and learning outcomes
• Collaborate as an active member of a supportive and dedicated teaching team to enhance the overall learning environment

Required competencies and certifications

• Knowledge of examination boards including Trinity, ABRSM, and Rock to prepare students for relevant assessments
• Ability to teach vocal lessons across a broad age range, including young children from age 4 to adults

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Music Diploma or Degree with at least 2 years of teaching experience
• Ability to teach additional instruments such as Piano, Keyboard, and Music Theory
• Availability to work on weekdays and weekends
• Demonstrated self-motivation, creativity, and resourcefulness in lesson planning and delivery
• Strong passion for inspiring students and fostering a lifelong love of music
• Confident and positive attitude conducive to a motivating learning environment
