Key Responsibilities

Provide remote IT support to vessels and crew, with occasional onboard support when required.
Install, maintain, and optimize onboard IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, communication systems (satellite/radio), and related hardware.
Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of vessel IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Perform remote and onboard system upgrades, maintenance, and patching activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, and application issues in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Maintain IT security controls, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Handle L1 service desk escalations and provide timely issue resolution.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical incidents outside business hours.
Travel onboard vessels for audits, maintenance, and project implementation when required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Hyper-V, and Active Directory.
Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure components such as network switches, firewalls, UPS, storage, backup, and replication solutions.
Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions, endpoint protection, and IT security best practices.
Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, structured cabling, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Exposure to maritime or ship automation systems is an advantage but not essential.

Willingness to travel onboard vessels and participate in an on-call support rotation.
