What you'll be doing

• Oversee the daily operations of the transportation fleet, including scheduling, routing and monitoring of deliveries and also deployment of vehicles
• Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training and performance feedback
• Analyse transportation data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with other departments to address any issues
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics to the management team
• Participate in the development and implementation of transportation strategies and policies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems and fleet operations
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and strategic planning skills
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting to support operational improvements
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to effectively manage a team
• Familiarity with relevant transport regulations and safety standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
