We are representing a reputable global logistics organization looking for a Trade Manager to drive ocean freight procurement strategy, carrier negotiations, and trade lane optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead central procurement and negotiation of sea freight rates with carriers to optimize total cost and align with global carrier strategy

• Manage carrier allocations and capacity planning, ensuring reliable space availability across trade lanes

• Coordinate closely with the operations network to optimize service performance and delivery reliability

• Develop and maintain a competitive ocean freight product and service portfolio aligned with local market and customer demands

• Define carrier selection, allocation strategies, and pricing structures to enhance competitiveness

• Conduct market supply-demand analysis and monitor freight rate trends to inform procurement strategy

• Identify and implement new procurement methodologies leveraging market insights and internal capabilities

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field

• 5+ years of experience in ocean freight procurement, trade management, or carrier management

• Strong experience in carrier negotiation, freight pricing, and trade lane management

• Good understanding of shipping market dynamics and logistics operations

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
