What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Trade Finance Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of international trade transactions while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform first and second-level document checking for Import and Export Letters of Credit (LCs) and Collections in accordance with ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP and related guidelines).

• Examine shipping documents and identify documentary discrepancies accurately.

• Process a full spectrum of Trade Finance transactions, including:

  • Import & Export LC bill utilisation

  • Acceptance and payment processing

  • SWIFT message preparation

  • Sanctions, AML and vessel screening

  • Charges calculation and pricing verification

• Register and manage incoming original and scanned trade documents.

• Liaise with overseas branches and regional stakeholders to ensure timely transaction processing.

• Support process enhancement, automation and digitalisation initiatives.

• Assist with additional Trade Finance operational duties as required.

We're Looking For

• Experience in Trade Finance Operations within the banking industry.

• Hands-on experience handling Import & Export Letters of Credit and Collections.

• Strong knowledge of documentary credits, ICC guidelines (UCP 600, ISBP) and Trade Finance practices.

• Experience with bill processing, SWIFT messages and compliance screening.

• CDCS certification is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of the FBTI system is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable supporting operations on Singapore Public Holidays when required.
