Job Description
The Therapy Aide is responsible for carrying out therapy programs under the supervision of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist for our residents at the nursing home.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Administer routine physical and occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of thePhysiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
- Assist residents for ambulation training through the use of walkers, braces or parallel bars.
- Assist residents to perform exercises through the use of Physiotherapy exercise equipment.
- Supervise residents in practicing activities of daily living and leisure participation.
- Plan and facilitate group exercise and activity sessions under the guidance of the Physiotherapist andOccupational Therapist.
- Observe residents’ reaction during treatment, ensure safety and report them promptly to Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
- Perform administrative duties including documentation of residents’ exercises and activity sessionsaccordingly and attendance taking.
- Clean and sterilize equipment used and rehabilitation areas.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Regular working hours: Monday - Friday (8.30am - 5.30pm)
- NITEC in Community Care or WSQ Certificate in Therapy Service.
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy (for foreigners).
- Advantageous if able to communicate in Mandarin or dialects.
