A regional business is hiring an in-house Legal Counsel to support cross-border operations across Southeast Asia. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to commercial stakeholders and shaping outcomes, not just reviewing documents.

Scope
You will advise on legal and commercial risk across a broad portfolio of work, with a strong focus on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements (customer, partner and vendor). You will support matters end to end, from early-stage deal structuring through to post-signing contract governance, variations, and issue management. You will also work with internal stakeholders on core compliance requirements, including third-party risk processes where relevant, and coordinate external counsel on specialist issues when needed.

Requirements
We are looking for 7–12 PQE with solid in-house and/or private practice experience in an international environment. Strong commercial contracting and negotiation skills are essential, along with a pragmatic, solutions-led approach and the ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders. Excellent English is required due to regional coordination. Some travel within the region may be expected.
