Job Summary
As a member of the Beijer Technical Support Team, you will act as a first-line technical engineer supporting customers and channel partners across the APAC region. You will handle technical support cases, assist with project inquiries, deliver solutions, and provide on-site support when required. This role combines automation, HMI, software, networking, and customer-facing engineering support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver first-line technical support for Beijer products and solutions to customers and channel partners across APAC, resolving issues efficiently
- Support new product introduction, system specification, and design-in activities to ensure successful project execution
- Develop and maintain software applications using iX Developer, WEBIQ, CloudVPN, and BCSTool to meet customer requirements
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, commissioning, and fault rectification to restore system functionality promptly
- Conduct technical training and knowledge transfer sessions for distributors, system integrators, and partners to enhance their technical capabilities
- Analyze reported issues by replicating faults, identifying root causes, and proposing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Collect and document technical data and case histories to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement
- Collaborate independently and with local system integrators and internal teams, communicating technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related fields
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or related technical roles
- Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with networking and automation troubleshooting, including network and HMI issue resolution
- Familiarity with iX Developer, WEBIQ, CloudVPN, or similar HMI/SCADA and remote access platforms
- Basic understanding of C#, HTML, JavaScript, or web-based technologies
- Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
- Willingness to travel within APAC for customer and partner support
