Responsibilities

• Lead and manage vessel operations and maintenance, ensuring safety, seaworthiness, and compliance with all statutory and regulatory standards.
• Ensure timely readiness of vessels for statutory and classification society surveys and inspections.
• Plan and develop technical specifications for dry-docking, emergency repairs, and modifications.
• Oversee the tender process including calling for bids, evaluating proposals, awarding contracts, supervising repair works, and handling settlement of repair costs.
• Prepare specifications and obtain approvals for structural modifications and machinery upgrades or replacements in line with classification society requirements.
• Manage all technical aspects of vessel operations, including the Subsea Department.
• Provide technical input and support to company projects when required.
• Serve as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and oversee recruitment for the Technical Services, Engine, and Subsea Departments.
• Take on additional duties as directed by the General Manager or CEO.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the offshore industry, particularly on large vessels.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing engines, pumps, generators, and similar equipment.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and make timely decisions.
• In-depth understanding of industry regulations and best practices to ensure safe and responsible operations.
