Job Summary

Lead the delivery of complex banking payments projects by managing full project lifecycles, providing technical leadership, engaging stakeholders, and developing high-performing teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of banking payments projects, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are met consistently
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and proactively resolve risks and issues
• Manage client relationships as the primary contact, handling expectations and escalations to foster strong partnerships
• Represent technical and development teams in stakeholder meetings to align business objectives with technical execution
• Contribute to design and architecture discussions to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee cutover planning, production dress rehearsals, data migration, and testing management activities to ensure smooth transitions
• Identify change requests, assess impacts, and provide accurate effort and cost estimations for informed decision-making and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with SDLC and project lifecycle methodologies, embedding best practices across delivery streams
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to drive project success
• Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Manage onboarding processes to integrate new team members smoothly into delivery streams
• Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects
• Demonstrate resilience and flexibility by working extended hours when necessary to meet critical milestones
• Operate effectively in multi-cultural environments, managing diverse teams across geographies

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven delivery and project management expertise with 10+ years of IT industry experience
• Mandatory experience in cutover planning, production dress rehearsals, data migration, and testing management
• Strong risk management skills to anticipate and mitigate potential project issues
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with client-facing experience
• Technical background to support, represent, and shield technical teams effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with banking payments projects, familiarity with ISO20022/SWIFT formats is a plus
• Knowledge of OBPM or Flexcube banking systems
• Familiarity with Jira, HP ALM, or similar test management tools
• Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure environments balancing delivery excellence and technical depth
• Experience working in multi-cultural environments managing diverse teams and stakeholders across regions
