Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and concept-strong Mathematics Teacher who can help students understand the “why” behind mathematics, not just the “how.” The role involves guiding students from concrete understanding to abstract reasoning, building strong numerical fluency, logical thinking, and confidence in problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Academic & Instructional

Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with CBSE learning outcomes and international best practices

Teach core strands including Number Sense, Operations, Fractions & Decimals, Algebraic Thinking, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Handling

Use manipulatives, models, math labs, visual representations, and real-life contexts to build conceptual understanding

Encourage mathematical reasoning, estimation, multiple-solution approaches, and mental math strategies

Differentiate instruction to support advanced learners as well as students needing reinforcement

Curriculum & Assessment

Contribute to curriculum mapping, lesson sequencing, and assessment design

Design worksheets, problem sets, investigations, and project-based math tasks

Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and inform instruction

Prepare students for internal benchmarks and external assessments (where applicable)

Student Development & Mathematical Thinking

Develop students’ confidence, persistence, and positive attitude toward Mathematics

Help students articulate their mathematical thinking verbally and in writing

Identify learning gaps early and provide targeted academic support

Foster habits of accuracy, logical reasoning, and structured problem-solving

Collaboration & School Life

Collaborate with Science and Technology teachers to support STEM and cross-curricular learning

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and learning strategies

Participate in math-related events such as Math Labs, Math Weeks, competitions, and enrichment programs

Engage in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or related field

Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent preferred)

2–5+ years of teaching experience (CBSE / ICSE / International curriculum preferred)

Experience teaching Primary and/or Middle School Mathematics

Strong conceptual understanding and ability to explain ideas clearly

Skills & Competencies

Ability to break down complex concepts into student-friendly explanations

Proficiency in differentiated instruction and assessment strategies

Comfort using math manipulatives, digital tools, and LMS platforms
