Tax Accountant (12-month contract) - Renewable

Our client is seeking a finance professional to oversee Singapore direct and indirect tax matters, ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, and support the Regional Controller on ad-hoc finance projects and assignments.

Role Scope

• Prepare tax information requests and supporting schedules for annual tax return submissions.
• Prepare annual Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) filings and supporting schedules for quarterly tax provisions.
• Liaise with external tax consultants on tax-related queries and requests.
• Assist in gathering information and documentation for IRAS queries and audits.
• Support the Corporate Tax Team in tax-related reviews and EDB Tax Incentive Scheme audits, where applicable.
• Provide support on withholding tax and GST matters as required.
• Assist with ad-hoc finance assignments and projects as assigned.

Responsibilities may be adjusted or expanded in line with evolving business needs and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in tax, project management, and accounting functions.
• Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good knowledge of Singapore income tax regulations, GST, and local GAAP requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
• Able to multitask effectively with a meticulous, committed, and self-motivated approach.
