Company Overview

Our client is a well-established organisation with multiple operational sites, seeking a hands-on System Engineer to support IT infrastructure, POS systems, and network operations to ensure business continuity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support and ensure stability of POS systems, network infrastructure, and internal systems
Perform Level 1 troubleshooting for IT hardware, systems, and operational issues
Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure optimal performance
Ensure servers are updated with latest security patches and system upgrades
Monitor system performance and execute patch management activities
Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure as required
Provide guidance to internal users on best practices for system and technology usage
Support planning and implementation of new systems and technologies to meet business needs
Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and users to resolve technical issues
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, purchases, and leases

Requirements

Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in IT support or system engineering
Basic knowledge of networking (L1 support level)
Experience with Windows and Linux environments
Exposure to cloud technologies will be an advantage
ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
