Job Description
The Surveyor is responsible for surveying works during the full phases of a construction project, ensuring that all measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites are accurate.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports of surveys to describe, certify and assume liability of work performed.
- Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
- Locate and mark sites selected for geophysical prospecting activities such as efforts to locate petroleum or other mineral products.
- Plan and conduct surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations and other geodetic measurements.
- Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients and other stakeholders at site.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Land Surveying or Geo-spatial information and technology
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry.
- Minimally have completed 1 cycle of building project with a project value of at least $100M.
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
