Job Description
Software Installation and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and update software applications on client systems and internal servers.
- Ensure all software installations comply with system requirements and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software installation issues.
- Perform system integrations and ensure software operates smoothly in various environments.
- Maintain proper documentation of installation processes and configurations.
Requirement Gathering:
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand business needs and project goals.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed software requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive requirement documents.
- Collaborate with developers and system architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with requirements.
- Validate requirements with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment with expectations.
Client and Team Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for installation-related inquiries.
- Provide post-installation support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure software solutions are delivered on time and meet the client’s technical specifications.
Testing and Validation:
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure installed software meets performance standards.
- Document test results and manage issue resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and server environments.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with software integrations and system configurations.
- Technically proficient and eager to explore and learn new concepts and technologies.
- Strong logical thinking abilities.
- Requirement Gathering Skills:
- Ability to interact with clients and stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
- Experience in creating functional and technical specifications.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex installation issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in software deployment or IT consulting.
- Experience with scripting languages for automating installation processes (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- 1 or 2 years of experience in software development is a plus.
- Experience in SQL database management and query.
Good To Have:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge in web applications hosting
