Sports Broadcast & Livestream Production Intern

Job Overview

We are looking for a Sports Broadcast & Livestream Production Intern to support live sports productions, including basketball tournaments and sporting events.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in sports broadcasting, learning how live sports events are filmed, streamed, and produced. You will assist with camera operations, livestream setup, and production support for real-time sports broadcasts.

When there are no live broadcasts, interns will be able to work remotely from home, assisting with tasks such as video preparation, stream scheduling, content organisation, and other production support.

This role is ideal for someone who is interested in sports media, livestream production, and video technology, and enjoys working in fast-paced live event environments.

What You Will Do

• Assist in setting up and packing down video cameras and broadcast equipment at sports events

• Support camera operation during live sports broadcasts (fixed camera, follow cam, or handheld where required)

• Assist with livestream production for sports matches and tournaments

• Support live production using OBS and/or vMix

• Help monitor video feeds, audio sync, and stream quality during live sessions

• Assist with basic troubleshooting of cameras, capture cards, and streaming equipment

• Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth and professional live broadcasts

• Ensure all equipment is handled carefully and safely during events

When there are no live broadcasts, remote work may include:

• Preparing livestream schedules and event listings

• Assisting with video organisation and content uploads

• Supporting post-production tasks such as clipping or highlights

• Assisting with basic production planning and coordination

Who We Are Looking For

• Students or individuals interested in sports broadcasting, media production, or livestream technology

• Comfortable learning to operate DSLR, mirrorless, or broadcast cameras

• Basic knowledge of OBS, vMix, or livestream platforms is a plus (training will be provided)

• Tech-savvy and willing to learn new production tools and workflows

• Able to work during weekends or sports event days

• Responsible, reliable, and able to work in live event environments

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Interest or experience in basketball or sports media

• Basic understanding of audio setup (microphones and mixers)

• Experience with multi-camera productions

• Familiarity with YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or other streaming platforms
