Job Title: Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of complex systems and ensure that detailed design and development align with enterprise architecture standards. In this critical role, you will bridge business needs with technical execution- translating requirements into robust architectural specifications, recommending appropriate technologies, and designing architecture blueprints that drive organizational success.

What You’ll Do

Architecture & Design

• Take end-to-end responsibility for system architecture, ensuring detailed design and development align with the Customer's Enterprise Architecture.
• Translate business requirements, including application resiliency requirements, into comprehensive application architectural specifications.
• Design the architecture blueprint for the organization's business systems, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.

Technology Evaluation & Strategy

• Propose products and solutions based on the Agency’s Enterprise Architecture and established standards.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies while aligning with the Customer’s technology directions, including:
• Cloud-based solutions
• Enterprise architecture frameworks
• Modernization of legacy systems
• Adoption of SG Tech Stack (or equivalent government/enterprise technology stacks)

Development & Implementation

• Leverage hands-on experience in project development life cycles to guide teams through design, prototyping, and implementation phases.
• Provide technical leadership in system design, performance tuning, and system prototyping & maintenance.

What You’ll Bring

Education

• Degree or Diploma in any discipline.

Experience

• Relevant work experience as a Tech Lead and System Architect, with demonstrated expertise in:
• System design
• Performance tuning
• System prototyping and maintenance
• Hands-on experience across the full project development life cycle.

Technical Skills

• Proven experience in designing and implementing:
• .NET applications
• J2EE applications
• Excellent data modelling and SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of:
• Server-side .NET and/or Java development
• Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
• Web services (REST, SOAP)
• Public websites / eServices development

Problem-Solving & Mindset

• Solid technical skills with the ability to leverage them to determine the best solution to complex technical problems.
• Ability to analyze and identify comprehensive solutions, considering all functional implications while developing a workable and practical solution.
