Job Summary

Lead software testing teams to design and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensuring software quality through effective planning, automation, and collaboration with clients and developers.

Responsibilities

• Devise test strategies and develop Master/Acceptance Test Plans (ATP) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPr) to ensure thorough software evaluation
• Lead software testers to execute test strategies and ATP/ATPr, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Write, execute, and oversee tests on software usability, functionality, performance, load, and system reliability to identify defects and issues
• Analyze test results to detect impacts, errors, bugs, and reliability problems for timely resolution
• Log testing outcomes and collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve errors, bugs, and performance issues
• Engage with clients to understand requirements, gather feedback, and address issues effectively to meet expectations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, fostering a collaborative and efficient testing environment
• Develop and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts (ATPr), and test reports (ATR) for traceability
• Implement and manage automated testing processes to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
• Participate in project planning and requirement analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with project goals
• Continuously improve testing methodologies, processes, and tools to elevate overall software quality and team performance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with SQL and database testing concepts
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 5 years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Proficiency in virtual machines (VMs) with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong understanding of software test design principles and testing methodologies
• Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
• Ability to think creatively and analytically to develop comprehensive test strategies and scenarios
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of leading successful testing efforts for complex software projects
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance and quality standards
