Smart Facility Engineer – Facilities Management

(Critical Facility / BRM – Day 2)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to enhance Smart FM systems (NetECo, OneBerry) and support system demonstrations for visitors and clients
• Manage access administration, including submission and maintenance of staff and contractor access for substations, data centres, NLT COs, and customer premises
• Administer and monitor NAGIOS system for HPE Smart PDU
• Manage EKMS and card access control systems
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews of access control lists to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Deploy and maintain servers, operating systems, and core operational IT systems
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; proactively troubleshoot issues
• Manage Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage systems
• Administer user access controls and permissions
• Implement and manage system backups and disaster recovery plans
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and hardening in line with security and compliance requirements
• Support cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams on projects and incident resolution
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system architecture diagrams
• Provide Tier 2 support for system and infrastructure-related issues
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Role Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network facilities management or data centre facilities management
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems and access control management
• Familiarity with IMDA COPIF and SS584 standards is an advantage
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills
• Ability to work under pressure and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet targets and deadlines
