Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Service Engineers specialised in Water Treatment Plants to support project activities from commissioning through to operations and maintenance (O&M).

The role will involve providing technical support, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and operational training for water treatment systems. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently in plant environments and training client personnel on proper operation and maintenance practices.

Regional travel may be required depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning & Start-up

• Support commissioning and start-up activities for water treatment systems and associated equipment.
• Perform system checks, performance testing, and troubleshooting during commissioning phases.
• Ensure systems operate according to design specifications and project requirements.

Operations & Maintenance

• Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of water treatment plants, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues related to water treatment equipment.
• Monitor plant performance and recommend optimisation measures.

Technical Support

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to plant operators and maintenance teams.
• Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and maintenance recommendations.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct technical training sessions for plant operators and maintenance personnel.
• Develop and deliver practical guidance on system operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all activities comply with project HSE requirements and industry standards.
• Follow plant operating procedures and safety protocols during all site activities.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of solid hands-on experience in water treatment plant commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

• Experience with industrial water treatment systems, which may include:

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems

  • Ultrafiltration (UF) systems

  • Wastewater treatment plants

  • Chemical dosing systems

  • Filtration systems

Education

• Relevant technical degree is mandatory, such as:

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Environmental Engineering

  • Water / Process Engineering

Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently in plant and site environments.

• Good communication skills with the ability to train and mentor plant personnel.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel within the region when required.

• Ability to work in operational plant environments and project sites.
