Food Services Crew Leader

Role Overview

The Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen and front-of-house operations during their assigned shift. You will lead by example, ensuring that every dish—particularly our signature okonomiyaki—is prepared to company standards, the team remains productive, and customer service remains exemplary.

Key Responsibilities

• Shift Supervision: Direct staff workflow, assign stations, and manage break rotations to ensure seamless service coverage.

• Quality Assurance: Supervise food preparation and presentation, ensuring all orders meet Seiwaa’s specific quality and safety benchmarks before reaching the customer.

• Operational Readiness: Conduct opening/closing checklists, verify inventory levels, and ensure the workspace adheres to Singapore’s SFA food hygiene regulations.

• Conflict Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries or complaints, resolving issues professionally to maintain guest satisfaction.

• Team Coaching: Provide on-the-job training for new hires regarding cooking techniques, point-of-sale (POS) usage, and safety protocols.

• Administrative Support: Maintain accurate shift logs, report any equipment malfunctions, and assist management with end-of-day sales reconciliation.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment (Japanese cuisine experience is a strong advantage).

• Leadership: Proven ability to motivate a diverse team and remain calm under pressure during peak dining hours.

• Compliance: Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (mandatory for food handling in Singapore).

• Communication: Fluent in English (and Mandarin, to coordinate with diverse kitchen teams/suppliers).

• Reliability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
