Key Responsibilities

• Lead, guide, and develop a team of Platform, SRE, and DevOps engineers, promoting a culture of high performance, teamwork, and accountability.
• Oversee system backend and infrastructure design to ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Drive the execution of complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
• Define and implement a long-term technical strategy focused on platform scalability, security, and system resilience, aligned with business goals.
• Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP), ensuring best practices in automation, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation (Terraform), and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Lead incident response and operational improvements to maintain high system availability and resilience.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Proven experience in building, managing and leading high-performing engineering teams and deliver complex technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of backend architecture, system design, and cloud infrastructure management (GCP preferred)
• Solid understanding of CI/ CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident management principles.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience managing and scaling large databases (both relational and NoSQL) is an added advantage.
• Experience with Data Engineering, including tools such as BigQuery and Looker is a plus.
• Experience in cloud cost optimization and financial management is good to have.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance technical direction and business objectives.
