Job Summary

Lead and coordinate vessel management operations to ensure seamless ship chandling deliveries, optimizing schedules and minimizing delays to support marine logistics efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily ship chandling deliveries to vessels at port, anchorage, and shipyards to ensure timely provisioning
• Arrange boarding schedules aligned with vessel ETA/ETD and port clearance windows to optimize operational flow
• Manage last-minute or urgent orders from captains and agents to maintain uninterrupted vessel operations
• Ensure timely delivery of provisions, bonded stores, technical stores, and spare parts to meet vessel requirements
• Coordinate launch boat and lorry transport for alongside or offshore deliveries to facilitate efficient logistics
• Minimize delivery delays proactively to avoid vessel detention or penalties, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations
• Liaise closely with ship agents, vessel masters, chief cooks, port authorities, transporters, and suppliers to streamline operations
• Arrange port and terminal entry permits and delivery clearances to secure smooth access and compliance
• Confirm delivery windows and boarding procedures to align all stakeholders and avoid operational disruptions
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and urgent requests promptly to maintain high service standards
• Maintain strong service relationships with key fleet accounts to support client retention and satisfaction

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in logistics, ship chandling, or marine supply operations
• Supervisory experience to lead and manage operational teams effectively
• Knowledge of port operations and vessel boarding procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
• Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and respond to urgent call-outs to support operational demands
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills applied to complex marine logistics scenarios
