About Elder Education Department

Elder Education Department provides a gamut of active ageing programmes that reaches out to seniors in the community. To encourage seniors to maintain active lifestyles, the department offers a wide variety of programmes to promote lifelong learning, healthy living, social networking and inter-generational bonding. Their efforts to encourage seniors to adopt digital technology is a key thrust to give seniors more options – in the way they receive information and how they communicate with others. The department believes that learning never stops.

Responsibilities:

• Support digital skills project for seniors
• Support project for seniors with disabilities
• Design & create attractive publicity collaterals and manage social media posts
• Assist in recruiting, planning and coordinating with programme trainers and facilitators for onsite workshops
• Provide administrative support and handles progress reports
• Handle senior enquiries through phone calls, text messages and emails
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma Holder and above
• A team player
• Tech savvy
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Experience in outreach and coordination work
• Meticulous & organizational skills
• Possess creative-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Able to multi-task & work independently with minimum supervision
