Job Description
Job Summary
The Events Planner is responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing a wide range
of corporate and field events for both internal and external audiences. This role supports
SGA’s business objectives through impactful event experiences that strengthen engagement,
drive recruitment, and enhance brand visibility.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects
simultaneously while working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events for internal stakeholders such as: Flying Start, Townhall, Final Sprint, Award Night, Overseas Convention, and other ad hoc internal events.
- Organise external-facing events including: Client Seminars, Recruitment Nights, Roadshows, and other marketing and partnership events.
- Ensure all events align with SGA’s brand standards, objectives, and compliance requirements.
2. Vendor & Venue Management
- Source and evaluate suitable venues and vendors for catering, logistics, and events production.
- Request and compare quotations to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
- Manage contracts and coordinate with external vendors to ensure smooth event delivery.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely and coordinate. with the relevant departments and personnel to understand event needs and ensure alignment with business goals and seamless execution.
- Liaise with external partners, sponsors, and collaborators as required.
4. Event Logistics & Administration
- Oversee all event logistics, from registration and materials preparation to on-site coordination.
- Manage event timelines, budgets, and post-event evaluations.
- Prepare post-event reports and propose recommendations for future improvement.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related
field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in event planning or coordination (corporate environment preferred).
- Experience in Financial Advisory / Insurance environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management tools.
- Able to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for event execution.
