Our Client:
Our client is a top-tier global freight forwarder, renowned for its integrated air, sea, and land solutions. They are seeking a Senior Airfreight Procurement Manager to lead their strategic air network, optimize global carrier partnerships, and drive profitability.

The Role:
This is a senior leadership position within the global air product team. You will own the strategy for the air network, lead high-stakes carrier negotiations, manage global capacity, and be directly accountable for the financial performance of the airfreight product. This role is pivotal for enabling scalable growth and ensuring competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the global and regional air network and procurement strategy.

• Lead end-to-end strategic negotiations with airlines for global rates, capacity, and service agreements.

• Plan and manage air capacity, aligning regional forecasts with global network strategy to optimize trade lane performance.

• Own the P&L for airfreight procurement, including cost analysis, budgeting and profitability management

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key airline carriers and subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company governance standards across the supply base.

• Collaborate closely with sales, trade lane management, and finance teams to support commercial objectives.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

• 10 years in airfreight procurement, network planning, or trade lane management within a global freight forwarder.

• Proven success in negotiating global airline contracts and managing carrier performance.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience owning cost targets and driving procurement savings.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
