Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior AI Governance & Engineering Consultant with a strong hands-on AI/ML engineering background, combined with practical experience implementing AI governance controls in regulated banking environments. This is a delivery-focused role, requiring the ability to design and implement AI solutions that comply with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements, not a documentation-only or policy-writing position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML solutions within a banking-regulated environment.
• Define and implement AI governance controls across the model lifecycle, including:
• Model risk management
• Explainability and transparency
• Controls, approvals, and auditability
• Translate governance, risk, and compliance requirements into practical engineering patterns and controls.
• Architect and guide end-to-end ML pipelines, including: Model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring
• Integration with data platforms and downstream systems
• Advise stakeholders on AI governance best practices aligned to regulatory expectations (e.g., MAS).
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the mid-level consultant.
• Act as the technical authority for AI governance decisions during delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, including:
• ML pipelines
• Model lifecycle management
• Model deployment and monitoring
• Solid understanding of AI governance frameworks, including:
• Model risk management
• Controls, explainability, and compliance
• Proven experience working in banking or financial services.
• Exposure to risk, compliance, and data governance functions.
• Experience delivering solutions in regulated environments.
• Ability to balance engineering practicality with governance requirements.
• Comfortable in an advisory + hands-on delivery role.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with regulators or regulatory-aligned programs (MAS or similar).
• Prior consulting or transformation program experience.
• Exposure to GenAI governance frameworks
