Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to support the finance operations of a group of companies within the construction and engineering industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling full sets of accounts, financial reporting, statutory compliance and supporting the overall finance function of the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full sets of accounts for a group of companies.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare GST returns and support ECI and corporate tax matters.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and company secretaries.
  • Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts and monitor payment schedules.
  • Support project costing, progress billings and retention tracking.
  • Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and finance-related projects.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in handling full sets of accounts independently.
  • Knowledge of GST, ECI, corporate tax and audit processes.
  • Experience in managing accounts for multiple entities will be an advantage.
  • Prior exposure to construction, engineering, M&E or project-based industries will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
