Science Laboratory Assistant

Salary: $2,200 per month
Contract Duration: 12 months (Option to extend for another year)
Contract Period: June 2026 – June 2027

Working Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• Working hours may be adjusted occasionally within the 42-hour work week to meet school operational needs.
• Off days: Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Pass in English and Science at N or O Level (or equivalent qualification).
• Organised, meticulous, and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing teaching materials, laboratory resources, and worksheets.
• Support the conduct of science practical sessions and department programmes.
• Assist in the movement and setup of laboratory equipment when required.
• Accompany students on learning journeys and related activities when needed.
• Manage inventory of laboratory equipment and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation of the Science Laboratory.
• Perform other duties assigned by the school.
