Science Lab Assistant (1-Year Contract)

Salary: $2,800 per month
Contract Period: March 2026 – March 2027
(Option to extend for a further year, subject to performance and operational needs)

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm (inclusive of 30-minute lunch break)

• No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Science apparatus and materials for Primary 3 to Primary 6 lessons and practical assessments.

• Assist teachers during Science lessons, laboratory sessions, and outdoor Science activities when required.

• Support the upkeep, cleanliness, and organisation of Science laboratories, equipment, and learning areas (including gardens and hydroponics/urban farming areas).

• Assist with inventory tracking, stock-taking, and basic equipment checks.

• Coordinate with vendors and Operations staff for equipment maintenance when required.

• Maintain laboratory displays and carry out disinfection of Science rooms as needed.

• Provide administrative and customer service support at the General Office, including reception duties, phone handling, document preparation, data entry, and logistics support.

• Perform other duties related to school operations as assigned by school management.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification (Science-related discipline is an advantage).

• Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in handling common laboratory equipment found in school labs (e.g. microscopes, data loggers).

• Relevant experience in a school laboratory or similar environment is preferred.
