Sales and Business Development

• Achieve assigned sales, gross margin, and business development targets.

• Develop and execute sales plans for assigned territories and industry segments.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with consultants, contractors, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and end users.

• Expand customer base through proactive prospecting and relationship building.

• Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, sales results, and analyses.

Technical Sales

• Understand customer requirement (tender document, dialogues etc), study drawings/BQ and recommend appropriate instruments.

• Conduct product presentation and technical demonstrations.

• Provide technical advice during product selection and application discussion.

Specification (Spec-in) Activities

• Engage consulting engineers, designers, and project owners to specify the company’s products in new projects.

• Support consultants with technical specifications, compliance statements, and application engineering.

• Monitor project pipelines and follow specifications through to project award.

Quotation & Proposal Preparation

• Prepare accurate quotations and technical proposals.

• Review customer specifications and tender documents.

• Coordinate with engineering team and suppliers to ensure technical compliance.

• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.

• Follow up on quotations to maximise order conversion.

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across multiple industries.

• Conduct regular customer visits and project reviews.

• Resolve customers enquiries and coordinate technical support when required.

• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.

Market Intelligent

• Monitor market trends, customer requirement, and competitor activities.

• Identify opportunity for new products and market expansion.

• Provide feedback to management on pricing, product performance, and customer needs.

• Support product launches and promotional campaigns.

Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:

1. Electrical & Electronic Engineering

2. Mechanical Engineering

3. Building Services

4. Engineering discipline

Experience

• 2-5 years of sales experience in instrumentation, controls, automation, or industrial equipment.

• Experience in HVAC, Building Management System (BMS), Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Data Centres, or Industrial automation is an advantage.

• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and an interest in technical sales may also be considered.
