Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing Executive plays a key role in driving TECO’s sales growth while providing direct commercial and operational support to the CEO. This position focuses heavily on sales execution, client engagement, and deal closure, and requires close coordination with the CEO during meetings, travel, and strategic commercial activities.
The role involves frequent local and overseas travel, including accompanying the CEO for customer visits, negotiations, and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Responsibilities (Core Focus)
- Identify, develop, and secure new sales opportunities in local and international markets.
- Actively prospect new customers through cold outreach, networking, referrals, site visits, and industry events.
- Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and commercial offers aligned with customer requirements and company objectives.
- Lead and support pricing discussions, negotiations, and contract finalization with customers.
- Follow up closely on all sales leads, quotations, negotiations, and ongoing commercial discussions to ensure timely closure.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate internally with operations, engineering, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of confirmed orders.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and updates for management review.
CEO Support & Commercial Coordination
- Travel with the CEO for local and overseas customer meetings, business trips, exhibitions, and strategic engagements.
- Attend meetings with the CEO and take Minutes of Meeting (MOM) accurately and professionally.
- Track, follow up, and coordinate all action items arising from meetings to ensure timely execution.
- Act as a key point of coordination between the CEO and internal teams on all commercial matters, including sales, quotations, contracts, and customer communications.
- Support the CEO in preparing commercial presentations, proposals, reports, and business reviews.
- Ensure effective follow-up with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders after meetings and trips.
Marketing & Business Development
- Support marketing initiatives, campaigns, and product promotions to strengthen TECO’s market presence.
- Represent TECO professionally at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and overseas business missions.
- Assist in developing marketing and sales materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor information to support business strategy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in maritime.
- Proven experience in a sales-driven or commercial role in maritime industry.
- Strong follow-up discipline with excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to support senior management and handle confidential commercial information professionally.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently, including overseas travel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM experience is an advantage.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
