Job Description

Responsibilities:

a) to assist the Superintending Officer/ Architect to monitor and coordinate Architectural works to be completed by Contractors for RI/TOP and CSC inspections

b) to act as channel for all claims and disputes and to record the facts which are relevant. To advise the Superintending Officer of any potential claim situations.

c) to measure the amount of work done for the purposes of payment and coordinate with QS for such payments.

d) to ascertain the final value of the work done under the various contracts and coordinate with the QS in regard to final account.

e) to check that all construction work is carried out in a safe manner

f) to check that all materials and workmanship as stipulated in the specifications are complied with by contractors. This includes sample tests or materials and workmanship.

g) to watch for faulty workmanship and material incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectifications

h) to keep a record of all measurements and tests and to bring plans into conformity with the work actually executed. To check and verify accuracy of as-built drawings

i) to work under the direction of the Superintending Officer/ Architect for site organisation, allocation of duties and tasks and coordinate with others for M&E services and structural design that affects architectural and ID works.

j) to participate in Client/Consultant's site meeting and technical meeting when requested
h) work closely with Authority's architect in reviewing and recommending approval of all architectural mock up and material same submission as well as architectural works at site to the Engineer for acceptance.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Professional certifications (e.g., Registered Architect, Chartered Architect) or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in architecture and design management, experience in managing large-scale infrastructure project.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Navisworks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid accreditation with IES.
