We are seeking a passionate and talented Research Fellow or Research Associate to lead cutting-edge projects that harness artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to transform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.

You will be responsible for the following:

Data Analytics support

Design and implement advanced machine learning models, including LLM-powered solutions, to optimize clinical workflows and care pathways. This includes the following:

• Design and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL processes
• Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Apply advanced statistical techniques and data mining methods to explore large healthcare datasets
• Create and manage interactive dashboards and analytical tools with focus on intuitive visualisation for non-technical audiences
• Develop predictive models
• Develop agentic AI solutions for care pathway optimisation
• Partner with clinical teams to integrate AI models into care workflows

Data Quality and Monitoring

• Monitor data integrity through systematic validation processes
• Identify and analyze meaningful patterns, trends, and correlations in healthcare data
• Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes
• Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to stakeholders
• Ensure data visualizations are intuitive, visually appealing, and easy to understand for non-technical audiences.
• Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor data integrity over time and proactively identify and address any data issues or anomalies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or related field)
• 3-5 years experience in data science or analytics role
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
• Familiarity with statistical techniques and data mining methods.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
• Knowledge of database concepts and experience working with large datasets (good to have).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyze data accurately.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

These skills sets will be a plus:

• Experience in implementing and fine-tuning AI models, including knowledge of LLMs and their applications in healthcare
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS
• Experience with web development frameworks including Streamlit, NextJS, and TypeScript
• Proficiency in FastAPI or equivalent REST API frameworks
• Experience with statistical techniques and data mining methods, such as correlation analysis, predictive modelling, A/B testing, and time series forecasting
• Knowledge of database concepts and experience with database management tools such as SQLAlchemy
