We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate who will contribute to NTU’s mission of advancing cutting-edge research in software security, especially LLM for security and design of more powerful and intelligent agentic software security architecture. With prior experience in security and AI agents, including prompt engineering, RAG application, multi-agent system, tool use, code analysis and vulnerability detection, the candidate brings transferable expertise relevant to the emerging domains of software security systems. The role is expected to support the university’s strategic push in next-generation secure systems and LLM systems, fostering new research directions and attracting competitive external funding.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced research in the areas of software security and the development of powerful, intelligent software security systems, with a focus on vulnerability detection, reachability analysis and proof-of-concept generation.

• Design and implement novel research methodologies to advance the powerful, reliability, and robustness of next-generation agentic software security architecture in complex and dynamic environments.

• Collaborate with academic and industry partners, including potential joint projects with institutions to drive interdisciplinary research outcomes.

• Prepare high-quality research publications and contribute to proposal writing for competitive national and international research grants.

• Support the supervision and mentorship of postgraduate students and junior researchers involved in security-related projects.

• Disseminate research findings through conferences, invited talks, and outreach activities, strengthening NTU’s leadership in infrastructure security R&D.

Job Requirements:

• A Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

• Proven research track record demonstrated by publications in top-tier conferences.

• Demonstrated expertise in large language models (LLMs) and their application to software security, multi-agent system design, software analysis, and software vulnerability detection.

• Experience in autonomous agent system design in computer security (e.g., vulnerability mining and verification, source code vulnerability detection, malware analysis).

• Excellent programming, analytical, and research communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and mentor junior researchers in related domains.
