We are seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to a project focused on quantum simulation using ultracold gases and the successful candidate will be working on a tweezer network based on superoscillatory phenomenon.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research activities related to experimental quantum technology
Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of experimental ultracold atom systems
Support data collection, analysis, and documentation of research findings
Perform laboratory testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of scientific equipment
Assist in simulation, modelling, and experimental optimization activities
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and research documentation
Support research team coordination and collaborative scientific activities
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and research protocols
Report daily on the progress of the project
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Quantum Science, Photonics, or a related discipline from a recognized university or institution
The candidate should have knowledge or research experience in atomic physics, quantum optics, laser systems, ultracold atoms, or related research areas.
Familiarity with experimental laboratory equipment, optics alignment, vacuum systems, electronics, or data acquisition systems will be advantageous.
The candidate must be highly motivated in research and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The candidate should possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required for research reporting and scientific discussions.
