The Role

The REIT Compliance professional is responsible for ensuring the organization’s ongoing compliance with all regulatory, tax, and operational requirements applicable to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). This is a new role due to their acquisition, and you will oversee all Compliance matters for their new REITs business.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with REIT qualification requirements under the Internal Revenue Code, including income, asset, distribution, and ownership tests
• Prepare, review, and maintain REIT compliance testing and supporting documentation on a quarterly and annual basis
• Ensure that all Compliance policies and Investments are in line with MAS regulations
• Support REIT structuring, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and other transactions from a compliance perspective
• Oversee shareholder ownership tracking and compliance with REIT ownership limitations
• Assist with preparation of REIT-related disclosures for SEC filings and investor communications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• At least 3 years in a REIT Compliance role
• Strong understanding of MAS regulations
• Ability to work independently
