Job Description

A Second-Hand Luxury Store Manager (often called a Boutique Manager or Resale Manager) bridges high-end retail, authentication expertise, and sustainable fashion. They drive sales, manage inventory, ensure brand-standard client experiences, and authenticate luxury goods.

Job Summary

Lead a boutique team to achieve sales targets by managing inventory, authenticating luxury items, delivering exceptional client service, and executing social media strategies to grow brand presence and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Develop and implement sales strategies focused on high-value, pre-owned luxury items
  • Monitor, analyze, and report sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities
  • Manage authentication processes for pre-owned luxury handbags, watches, and jewelry to ensure product authenticity
  • Oversee inventory intake, consignment, valuation, and maintain accurate stock levels and records
  • Deliver personalized service to clients, building relationships with high-net-worth individuals to encourage repeat purchases
  • Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain high client satisfaction
  • Ensure boutique operations comply with company policies, including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, security, and visual merchandising standards
  • Recruit, train, coach, and manage a high-performing team, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing developmental feedback
  • Design, write, and edit engaging social media content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook aligned with business goals
  • Identify and adopt new social media trends, apps, and best practices to enhance brand awareness and growth

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in luxury retail for 5–10+ years, including supervisory or management roles
  • Strong knowledge of luxury brands, fashion trends, and authentication of luxury goods
  • Leadership, communication, and analytical skills demonstrated through team management and sales strategy execution
  • Passion for sustainable luxury, client-centric mindset, and high integrity
  • Fluency in Mandarin, including reading, speaking, and writing, to support client communication and business needs
