Job Description

Role Overview
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end financial operations, statutory compliance, internal controls and financial reporting. The role operates within a complex, matrixed multinational environment and partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to support growth, profitability and operational excellence across customer‑facing, manufacturing & R&D activities.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen, systems proficiency, and hands‑on leadership, enabling high‑quality execution in a fast‑paced, capital‑intensive and compliance‑driven industry.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Controls & Compliance

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and integrity of results
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US-GAAP & IFRS corporate accounting policies
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and GST requirements for the legal entities
  • Own SOX/ internal controls across finance and operational processes, including audit walkthroughs, documentation, testing support and remediation
  • Serve as the local accountable executive to external auditors for statutory audits and maintaining strong audit outcomes


Accounting Operations for Manufacturing & Tech Environments

  • Oversee accounting for complex transactions including:
    Revenue recognition for equipment, spares, services and long‑term arrangements
    Intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and cross‑border activities
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity across high‑value assets, accruals and provisions
  • Support entity lifecycle activities including entity setup, liquidation and restructuring as required


Financial Planning, Forecasting &Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales to:
    Drive accurate forecasting of revenue, cost of goods sold and operating expenses
    Support profitability, margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in dynamic, fast‑moving business environments
  • Deliver timely, actionable financial analytics to senior and regional leadership


Systems, Process & Automation

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance, including:
    Digital transformation
    Automation of reporting, reconciliation and analytics
    Reduction of manual processes and control risks
  • Serve as finance lead for ERP and reporting systems (e.g. SAP, ECC, Adaptive, Power BI)
  • Partner with global teams on finance transformation, data governance and system enhancements


Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team in the region
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with regional and global finance & operations teams across the region
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to senior management in a matrixed multinational organization


Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification (ISCA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
- 15–20+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience within semiconductor, manufacturing, or technology MNCs
- Deep expertise in:
Financial reporting and statutory compliance
SOX/ internal controls
Consolidation and regional accounting
Manufacturing or technology business models
- Strong experience operating in complex, matrix organizations with global stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting/ BI tools

Key Competencies

- Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and technology business drivers. Commercial mindset with strong business partnering skills
- Proven leadership and people development capability
- High attention to detail, resilience and ability to operate in fast‑paced environments
- Track record of driving process optimization and automation in global settings
