Job Description & Requirements

Sucessful Candiate should possess the following:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline with minimum 3 years experience in as QS in Interior fit out / building industry.

The Job:

• Manage Pre-tender to post-contract stages include procurement administration for projects.
• Taking off quantities, read specifications and interpret construction drawings and prepare project budget and recommend to Management for acceptance of contract value for tender submission.
• Responsible for vetting, drafting and negotiation of contract terms including pricing, quantity, management of vendor and sub-contractor. Ability to identify potential contract conflicts or technical issues and propose sound solutions.
• Must be resourceful in sourcing of materials, vendors and sub-contractors to meet the specification and schedule. Ability to evaluate and negotiate prices is an added advantage.
• Attend site show round, carry out site survey where necessary as well as attending tender interview.
• Control and monitor work process, procedures and ensure policy are in order so as to achieve productivity, timely delivery and acceptable standards.
• Project administration and documentation including preparation of interim valuations, pricing and agreement of contract variations, update claim submission and follow up with payment response.
• Determine final costs and variation orders as well as preparing final accounts for submission to client.
• Evaluation, certification and settlement of final cost with vendors& sub-contractors.

The Person:·

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience as QS in Interior fit-out / building industry.
• Independent, highly self-motivated, proactive and detailed with excellent problem solving skills.
• Good team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment
• Good communication & interpersonal skills, able to interact with people of all levels.
• Independent and Confident to meet tight deadlines
• May require to travel overseas when required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
